IMN MARK ASHURA DAY WITH PROTEST MARCH IN TOWNS AND CITIES IN NIGERIA.
Members of IMN under the leadership of his Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) has today Sunday 10th/01/1439HJ, (1/10/2017) joined humanity in marking ASHURA DAY with protest march in different towns and cities in the country some of which include Zaria, Sokoto, Kaduna, Potiskum, Katsina, Gombe, Jos, Talatan Mafara, Bauchi, Nguru, Azare, Funtua, Kazaure etc. In Kano city, the protest march took off in four different locations within the city, The commercial centre of the state known as Bata, Kofar Mata, Murtala Muhammad Hospital junction plying through the traditional city centre of Kurmi market, and Filin Mariya Sunusi Kofar Ruwa.The mourners mostly dressed in black with banners mourning atrocities on Ashura day by Yazid forces in the plain of Karbala also voiced out songs of the Ashura condermming the tradgedy. They also used the opportunity to call for the immediately, unconditionally release Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) who since December 2016 has been released by Justice Kolawole of Abuja High court.
At the end of the protest march, Mal Sunusi Abdulkadir Koki extended condolences to our Noble Prophet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bait (AS) over the Ashura atrocities and Ayatollah Aliy Khamnaei(DZ).
He also drew some lessons Imam Husain (AS) has shown to us, being resolute along this noble path, resisting all form of injustice and oppression, and today we have seen this examplanary life of Imam Husain (AS) shown to us by Shaikh Zakzaky (H), resisting all injustice and oppression and remaining steadfast along the path of Allah.
The protesters call for the immediate release of Shaikh Zakzaky and his followers and reiterated Thier stance in remaining steadfast on the path of Imam Husain (AS). Labbaika Ya Husain!!!
The security forces if different towns and cities didn’t indulge in using force to stop the protest march and was carried out peacefully as it’s always the case with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
